  • PAKS Gallery and MAMAG Museum invite to exhibit at Cannes Film Festival, Art Basel Week and Carrousel du Louvre
My husband is an artist. I work with him taking care of communication, finding galleries, art fairs, biennales etc. He was also contacted by Heinz Playner. It's a vanity Gallery and nothing more. They do not actually have a stand at the Art Basel Fair, nor at the Cannes Film festival, nor at the Carousel du Louvre. They expose in hôtel conférence rooms nearby, while these events are happening ....
  • Art box project
I have participated in various Artbox exhibitions (Artbox project Miami, Art Week Miami too) and have had very good experiences. Especially the exhibitions about Artboxy have brought me some sales. I can recommend the company....
  • Lichtundfire in NYC
Some galleries charge fees, they can’t know if your work will sell, but they’re providing you with an opportunity to show your work....
  • The Other Art Fair, London UK
It's actually not. Saatchi Art was bought by Leaf Group, the same group of companies that now owns The Other Art Fair. Part of the deal when buying Saatchi art was NOT to use the name Saatci and they have been to court for this. They are clearly taking advantage of people making them think that Saatchi is part of The Other Art fair when they are not. What a horrible way to conduct business!...

  • The Other Art Fair, London UK
I'm happy I have discovered this thread as I'm not the only participating artist in London, feeling this way. It's particularly scary making this comment as they ask you not to make any public comments about them. I feel very uncomfortable and don't work to work with a company that does that. It was particularly odd to see that a participating artists was also giving us advice on a call orgnaised by The Other Art Fair, when knowing...
  • The Other Art Fair, London UK
As one of the participants of their latest show in London in March 2024, I also need to express my deep disappointment and frustration with the management of this fair. No sales and overall bad vibes and a salesy approach to things trying to upsell expensive additional services on top of a participation fee that is already extremely expensive. Upon researching further, I also discovered that they are not supposed to use the Saatchi name and they...
  • GAA
Very bad experience. I took part in an event in Vienna for some years ago. Unprofessional, no curated art. I felt like been on cheep market place. But the took their money....
  • The Other Art Fair, London UK
My experience in London with them weas extremely disappointing. They were trying to upsell me everything with huge mark ups. I had to pay hundreds in order to have a chair to sit on during the event. Having talked to fellow participating artists, they seemed to struggle to land any sales. Footfall was not amazing either, considerably different vibes from when I visited 7 years ago as a guest. This brand is dying and I would steer clear....

  • Holy Art Gallery?
I was also an Artist and I can 100% understand all the rage against the holy Art Gallery. This organisation is a moneymaking and corrupt organisation. The exhibitions are totally scam, its absolutely Trash what they offer and I cant find the words to put my Bad experience in a suiting frame. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!! THEY ALSO BLOCKED ME AND DELETED EVERYTHING BECAUSE I TRIED TO WARN OTHER PEOPLE...

I’m from Kenya. This posr makes reference to me and my friends. I’m grateful to NYC Artwalk and to Susana. When Susana found me she brought my work to be exhibited on posters in Brooklyn, Queens, the Upper West Side, Times Square, and Harlem at no cost to me. She also had NYC Artwalk include my work at the Hamptons Fine Art Fair and Tribeca Art Show 2023 at no cost to me....
  • NYC Artwalk
I took part of the Exhibitor Posters in Brooklyn, Queens, Upper West Side, Times Square, Harlem, and others, the Hamptons Fine Art Fair, Tribeca Art Show 2023, as well as being listed on Artsy. This was all done possible by Susana Aldanondo and the NYC artwalk without any cost/payment from me. Additionally, some of my paintings were also purchased by Susana. • Parallax Art fair / PAF
I exhibited with parallax in Chelsea town hall back in 2015 it was the worst show I have ever been involved with there were so few visitors at the make the whole experience laughable it put me off shows in London for year toll I realised it was a total scam I’m appalled by this organisation and hope nobody else falls for what they say...
  • Holy Art Gallery?
No, because The Holy Art Gallery hardly sells any art, it's not their main business. Their main business is to rent gallery space. If your experience with them was so positive, why didn't you sell any art?...
  • ITSLIQUID GROUP
Is this the same ITSLIQUID that is founded in 2001 by Luca Curci? How much is the fee for artists nowadays?...
  • World of Art (WOA) Contemporay Art Magazine
It's not Guggenheim'S issue, but a Guggenheim themed magazine from World of Art (WOA) Contemporary Art magazine, i.e., pay to play art magazine for sad artists. It has nothing to do with the actual Guggenheim museum, they are not involved and have not cooperated with WOA. I hope the Guggenheim takes you to court for misleading!...
  • Galeria Azur Madrid
First of all tell us your name and where we can find social media channel so we can verify that you don't work for Galeria Azur but are an artist. Secondly please educate yourself on what vanity galleries actually are and why they never benefit artists in any way before you criticize us for pointing out the grievances. You participated twice but didn't sell anything. So your money was wasted, and now even more scammers...
  • Galeria Azur Madrid
I participated twice in Galeria Azur, in a group exhibition and in the Red Dot art fair. I have paid to exhibit and I have loved it. No gallery is representing me at the moment, and this is helping me to showcase my work, be seen by a wider audience, and I am hopeful to sell a piece soon. I understand that this never depends 100% on the gallery, and with the attention they are...

PAKS Gallery and MAMAG Museum invite to exhibit at Cannes Film Festival, Art Basel Week and Carrousel du Louvre

I recently received an email from the curator Heinz Playner telling me their curator team was impressed by my work. They sent an invitation and an offer to exhibit my art in 2022 at the MAMAG Modern Art Museum in Austria. Also that the Paks gallery would like to represent me and an offer to participate in the International Fine Biennale Basel, ART BASEL ART WEEK IN 2023, ALSO THE CANNES fILM fESTIVAL, and also in the Carrousel du Louvre. Has anyone been involved with the PAKS Gallery in Vienna or the MAMAG Museum with such an offer? What was…

ITSLIQUID GROUP

I came here looking for reviews, info. It is very expensive! But I think a lot of people don’t know how expos work, expos are paid by galleries & artists to have a space in a warehouse/ large conference space etc. Expos cost money, the organizers have to pay spaces, even if they make deals with hotels or whatever, they have expenses of marketing, rentals, promotion, printed materials. It’s not going to be free, and they can get away from not disclosing upfront the cost because it’s understood that to take part in an art fair/expo, you pay the space/…

Itsliquid

I had one exhibition in Venice and it all looked nice. After that, they asked me if I would join another one for a discount price. I said yes, but later they charge me 50% more. After that, I decided to go and take a look, how this event looks like. And it was pitiful; I will not say, they put pictures nice and the place is beautiful. But there were just a few people at the exhibition and I guess there were even fewer visitors. I know it is not a great situation for art, but they could say…

Alert: European Cultural Center Scam

The European Cultural Center is contacting artists and asking them to pay them 15000 Euro to participate in one of their exhibitions, and is also not offering to pay for transportation of artwork. They do no fundraising and offer no financial assistance for the individual artists they contact. All of the listed sponsors on their website are not real, and the ECC does not raise money for artists. Artists themselves are being asked to do the fundraising on the behalf of the ECC, and the ECC does not have a dedicated fundraiser. They expect the artists they invite to fundraise…

Contemporary Art Curator (Magazine)

I must strongly advice against this. I bought an award from them with the link I got. At the same time an artist who doesn’t like me sent an email to the magazine advicing them not to accept my payment because of a social media conversation where I told that this award can be bought and it’s nothing but a vanity gallery. This conversation took place in a closed Facebook group. The magazine didn´t except my purchase, I got refunded and now the magazine is threatening me with a lawyer for the things I have said in that Facebook group.…

Excellance art Gallery in Mirabella, Spain

I received an Instagram message from @excellanceartgallery from Guiseppe Carnevale. He then called me- I did ask him to- after he went to my website and saw my work. A very congenial fellow I must say- and he offered me a solo show in Spain with up to 20 paintings, one painting in a show in Paris, one painting in a show in Monte Carlo, and two paintings in a show in Porto Banos, Spain. Plus a single page in a prominent European Art Magazine. And the package price is 15,500 Euros….. I haven’t seen him or the gallery listed…

This has to be a scam

I subscribed to their EAP site after an approach from their agent. I then cancelled as I found their website impenetrable and their customer service non-existent. Now, 9 months later, they have made an unauthorised withdrawal from my account.

Dab Art now Cheating Artists in LA

Yessica Torres is now cheating artists in Los Angeles with her illegal business practices. She has no Gallery Downtown. Her business is online. She uses three different names (Yessinia, Yessica Russel Torres, Yessica Torres de Marin). She is vile, an alcoholic and uncaring for the artistic community. The Dab Art LA phone number is 213,260.0556 Dab Art claims Gallery Appointments are available, when they are not. It’s a shame such a vile person is associated with the artistic community. Our hearts go out to everyone here.
