Hi everyone! I would like to make some clarity about this, as after many years I randomly learnt they have moved their venue to another location in Venice and I was completely surprised this thing it's still alive. I worked for them aka Luca, the "owner" for different months during the summer of 2018 I believe, for a stage experience after high school. First of all I'd like to share that job wise it was...
  • Vedica Art Gallery, Mumbai, India
months after i posted my experience here, they decided to send me my works back without any explaination. No comment on why the collector changed his mind, who was supposed to be interested in buying my works....
  • Art box project
How did you benefit from participating in the exhibitions? Did you sell any work? What were the total costs? "Great way to add exhibits to the CV" How can participation be a merit when you paid for it and anyone who pays can participate? It makes no sense....
  • Galeria Azur Madrid
Thank you posting your experience! It’s so helpful!!!...
  • Excellance art Gallery in Mirabella, Spain
Be careful. They make multiple false claims and try to take advantage of artists...
  • Lichtundfire in NYC
Why would you care about artists' participation and tell them to reconsider unless you were the gallerist in question? If your experience was good, how did you end up here? Did you google the gallery name after you participated? Yes, entrance and participation fees are very common in Vanity Galleries....

  • Context art gallery, Venice. AKA Marco Patrizio
I am also korean and got scammed. Was his gallery in Venice at that time? Not in padova? I already reported the police, and they are investigating....
  • Italian gallerist, Marco Antonio Patricio, major scam
My mom also got scammed. Unfortunately for him, I had a week in between jobs and managed to figure out his real location and probably his real identify as well. I made a dedicate page about it: https://iwasscammedbylorenzobucceri.vdvphotographics.com/...
  • Residency Arquetopia
Hi, Jut wondering if anyone has recent (2025-2026) experiences with Arquetopia's residency in Peru to share? These reviews have been very helpful!...
  • Europartfair 2021
I agree. Stay away from all products of this organisation. Not really a scam, but definitely feeding off insecure artists paying to play. The artfairs are bad quality, only visited by friends and family of the artists on free admission tickets. The books are sold to the artists themselves. They name a lot of famous artists on their site as "supporting their ideas", as well as politicians as ambassadors who do not know about this.They...
  • ADC – Art Comes Alive Competition
Litsa has no ethics. She is awful. I “won” a LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD. It was a cheap piece of paper. No prize, no nothing. I wouldn’t mourn her. STAY AWAY....
  • If you’re approached by “Gallerist” Marco Antonio Patrizio – Run!
He just contacted me a couple of weeks ago. Now the gallery is called AM Fine Art located in the Duomo square. He says his name is Marcio. Thank you so much everyone for posting this warning!...

  • Holy Art Gallery?
Is the owner that absolute disgusting cheetos eating dressed like homeless I met in their Dalston gallery?...
  • Arcade Project, M. Charlene Stevens
Rewritten for clarity: I can confirm the comments regarding Charlene. I will add that she sabotages deadlines. She makes herself the center of attention as everyone begs her to do her work and she deliberately turns it in at the last minute. The team then has to work all night to prepare her work printer or the website. She has cheated the artists she''s endorsed out of press in this way....
  • Studio Visit Magazine
I was in an earlier publication, and was pleased with the look of it. I see people saying "pay to play", and I guess this is the case, kind of a vanity publication? I thought I would apply a second time, the juror seemed interesting. I got in, paid for a 2 page spread. I followed what was required for images and expected them to be printed as I sent them with the background showing...
  • PAKS Gallery, Vienna/other locations

  • LemoArt Gallery
My experience with Ludvig Rage ist 100% positive. I have been collaborating with them, they promoted my work and thanks to them I have met many gallery owners and collectors and sold many of my works. I don't understand people like you, spreading lies. It's a shame! Thanks Ludvig Rage for all the support and effort!!!...

I sent them all of my best art and my Biography and after I emailed everything to them I have not heard form them, so they are probably selling my art. So they steal art. I hope that they are caught....
  • Galería Gaudí
I’m an experienced artist. If a gallery considers you as an investment it is typical to have commission taken but THAT is ALL. The lack of transparency on their socials is concerning- sure, beautiful art photographed but where are the photographs of the fairs and their people representing you? Championing you? If you’re paying these massive fees on top of commission consider 1) what kind of placement this buys you in a fair. Where is...
  • The Other Art Fair, London UK
Hommm. Mixed thoughts here but tbh that’s the way it is at every art fair. They are all a huge risk due to time and costs. They are a lot of effort but unfortunately like a musician having to do free gigs to get noticed and on the map, art fairs are there for the same reason. Very very few go completely sell out and make a big. profit...

  • Flyer art gallery! Scam!
I was invited to an exhibition, so I searched and found it, that’s why I decided to refrain. Thank you for sharing the information....
  • NYC Artwalk
Whoever made these initial claims is wrong! It was ArtsGowanus and Imagination Collective that was doing the ArtWalk on Atlantic Avenue and THEY placed the posters and THEY received $$$ from the Sponsors!! Those artists mentioned here did NOT have ro pay a fee. BUT - Imagination Collective AND ArtsGowanus - Johnny Thornton DID GET PAID!!! Get your record straight BEFORE you trash a good person. ALSO - NYC ArtWalk is ran by Stephanie Sulaiman as part...

Art Collectors Prize. It has been an ordeal. An honest mistake of not recognizing the company led me to report a fraudulent charge, which I quickly reviewed and notified my bank and PayPal. However, PayPal did not clear and close the case, though the bank paid the amount. Despite all my clarifications, the magazine sent me threatening emails and told me that they would contact all the organizations, claiming I had committed a scam. I...

London Art Biennale Curated and organised by Gagliardi Gallery

I participated in the London Art Biennale at the Chelsea Town Hall. This was a vanity show that is not to be confused with the Chelsea Art Fair, which was my mistake. It was Curated and organised by the Gagliardi Art Gallery and involved an Association of Art Critics who would write about your art and produce a hard cover book for you at a considerable fee. This is a vanity show and is organised for the artists, the public do attend but it seemed to be more for the artists than anyone else. There are prizes handed out to…

Banditto gallery

Likewise I received an invitation from Roy Ockers of Banditto GAllery, to their artist residency in Tuscany. I came across the ‘gallery’ on Linked In, but had reservations about the validity of their invitation… and now their fee is increased to €49. Glad to hear others comments regarding this ‘gallery’ and sorry that some have lost money applying for the residency.

Is Sonia Monti Gallery trustworthy?

I have received an invitation from Galerie Sonia Monti from Paris, to participate to a collective show over a whole year at no cost, other than the shipping of the artworks at the Gallery on the announced day. The invitation was kinda “too-nice-to-be-true”. Read the contract several times and could not find any flaws to it. Shipped the works and then received a message from a company called “Art Now Défiscalisation”, stating that in order my artworks to be showcased at the Sonia Monti Gallery and allegedly presented to some art-buyer companies, I was to pay a “membership” worth 950…

Sonia Monti Galerie in Paris

I got contacted by email saying that “a collector recommended my work” and they wanted me to sign a contract right away without even a phone call. I also had to subscribe to a platform…and they promiss an interview with a journalist. they told the same thing to a friend of mine. many red flags saying it’s a vanity gallery no website, ZERO press, no follow up I believe they make money with the platform they advertise as a must have. their text translated from french: Following current events we offer a collaboration without prior appointment. We specify that the…

Anon

Hi, A Jazz Jade from the emerging artist platform reached out to me asking if I wanted to join their platform for 29.99. We had a call and it seemed as if I was going to get lots of exposure for my art and be provided a service (including 24 hour pa). After they created an initial web page for me I had no responses to any other contact and they would not make any canes to y webpage. The webpage that was advertised to me indicated that it would be easily accessible however my webpage was virtually unfindable. Since…

Oscar Arran art dealer gallerist

Various galleries have opened and closed with Oscar Seran in Saint Germaine and Place des Vosges, Paris. He sometimas works within a gallery group sliding across associate galleries. The names change but the deal remains the same; unpaid sales and disappeared works, then his disappearance act until the coast is clear and he starts all over again.
