Lichtundfire in NYC
I was contacted by the director via my website to participate in a themed group show. The curatorial statement aligned with my work so I was excited to get more information, but noticed in the fine print that they did ask for a financial contribution from the artist. The show was also in the very near future, which seemed strange. After I expressed interest, I was told that I would need to give the gallery almost $1,000 to participate, as well as a 60/40 split (artist/gallery). I shared my discomfort with this, at which point the messages became more desperate and pleading, saying I could pay via installments, and arrived via multiple modes of communication. In the meantime, I had researched the director, who had apparently run a gallery in Chelsea in the past and was accused of not paying an artist for sold work. Artists beware!

Where is the proof of all this? How do I know you are telling the truth? Do you even know iw who the director of Lichtundfire is? I don’t think you do.

Priska C. Juschka Is the director.
I have screenshots of the exchanges but suspect that wouldn’t convince you either since your tone is so hostile that I suspect you are well aware of the gallery already.
Everyone has access to Google and can find her history for themselves.

Some galleries charge fees, they can’t know if your work will sell, but they’re providing you with an opportunity to show your work.

Yesterday I was contacted by Claudio Giulianelli via Linkedin to participate at the Vernice art fair in Forli.
Since I was reading this comment I would like to know more details about the experience exhibiting here?
Please be so kind to contact me
