I was also an Artist and I can 100% understand all the rage against the holy Art Gallery. This organisation is a moneymaking and corrupt organisation. The exhibitions are totally scam, its absolutely Trash what they offer and I cant find the words to put my Bad experience in a suiting frame. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!! THEY ALSO BLOCKED ME AND DELETED EVERYTHING BECAUSE I TRIED TO WARN OTHER PEOPLE...

This was all done possible by Susana Aldanondo and the NYC artwalk without any cost/payment from me. Additionally, some of my paintings were also purchased by Susana. • Holy Art Gallery?
No, because The Holy Art Gallery hardly sells any art, it's not their main business. Their main business is to rent gallery space. If your experience with them was so positive, why didn't you sell any art?...
  • ITSLIQUID GROUP
Is this the same ITSLIQUID that is founded in 2001 by Luca Curci? How much is the fee for artists nowadays?...
  • World of Art (WOA) Contemporay Art Magazine
It's not Guggenheim'S issue, but a Guggenheim themed magazine from World of Art (WOA) Contemporary Art magazine, i.e., pay to play art magazine for sad artists. It has nothing to do with the actual Guggenheim museum, they are not involved and have not cooperated with WOA. I hope the Guggenheim takes you to court for misleading!...
  • Galeria Azur Madrid
First of all tell us your name and where we can find social media channel so we can verify that you don't work for Galeria Azur but are an artist. Secondly please educate yourself on what vanity galleries actually are and why they never benefit artists in any way before you criticize us for pointing out the grievances. You participated twice but didn't sell anything. So your money was wasted, and now even more scammers...
  • Galeria Azur Madrid
I participated twice in Galeria Azur, in a group exhibition and in the Red Dot art fair. I have paid to exhibit and I have loved it. No gallery is representing me at the moment, and this is helping me to showcase my work, be seen by a wider audience, and I am hopeful to sell a piece soon. I understand that this never depends 100% on the gallery, and with the attention they are...

Hello , i am a private investigator, and i am investigating some cases involving the Marco Antonio Patrizio Gallerist and the context art gallery scam . I was also approached by this scammer, but I didn't fall for it, because I thought he was very amateur. I did some research and discovered that he was a scammer. He blocked me and deleted the conversations, but I have them all deleted. This is his number +39 347 881 7017...
  • Europartfair 2021
Europartfair is not really a scam but a fair where artists can pay for their own stand. The quality is not good. Definitely not worth it. The only one making money here is the organization. This organization has many ways to make money off hopeful artists such as ADAF (Annual Dutch Art fair), Art Eindhoven, books and magazines (pay to play), paid competitions etc. Stay away....
  • If you’re approached by “Gallerist” Marco Antonio Patrizio – Run!
Context Art Gallery just reached out to me today. I contacted a friend that frequents Venice several times a year and she found this article for me! Thank god I did a little research first. I only have an email address for this person he gave me the name Jacobo. He sent me two forms. One for the Pavi art expo…..looks very legit. Luckily I didn’t send him any money. Very disheartening....

  • Liquid Group
I was approached via email by 'Caterina Gallizia, Project Coordinator' of ITSLIQUID Group (noting that her email, as well as 'Luca Curci, Director' were gmail accounts, not itsliquid.com accounts), who said they were interested in showing my work during 'Contemporary Venice 14th Edition' in some palazzo. "The application proposal is free and there is a participation fee related to the number and dimensions of artworks selected, bla bla bla". I've been aware of these ever-so-slightly-above-board pay-to-play...
  • Colorida Gallery
I have a similar story. They told me they had mold buildup and had to close after I paid almost $500 and never answered emails texts again. Not even the phone. I learned my lesson and left it as a loss. Thank you for sharing. I thought I was alone....
Sexual Assault in the Art World

Every industry and field now has growing sexual assault claims, and the art world is no different. Here are four recent articles, feel free to comment of post an incident of your own. All comments can be posted anonymously. The Guardian: More than 150 artists, curators and museum directors, have written a letter denouncing sexual harassment and abuses of power in the art world. It was signed by over 2000 people since its writing. The letter comes in the wake of separate allegations against Knight Landesman, co-publisher of leading arts journal Artforum, who resigned on Wednesday hours after a lawsuit…

World Wide Art Books Inc.

I received an unsolicited email (see it after my comment) from World Wide Art Books Inc. This company publishes art books under the titles International Contemporary Masters, Current Masters and Important World Artists. This publisher “selects” and “approves” artists for their books mainly by sending unsolicited emails. In the email below, WWAB claimed they contacted me previously and they saw my artwork on a website for an artist organization that I am a member of which both claims are false. For one, I never received an email from WWAB in the past. And second, only my name is on the…

Specto Art Space

I believe “Specto Art Space” holds “call for entry” events and never has actual exhibitions. I applied for a show and didn’t get in, which is okay… BUT they have yet to announce show dates, winners of their call for entries, or any updated information on their website. A friend of mine in the area says the gallery doesn’t exist, or in their defense, may just not be up and running yet. I have contacted a couple places that list their calls to make them aware of the situation. The owner is responsive to e-mail, but it is incredibly fishy…

Arctic Circle Residency

I was so excited to be accepted to be accepted to the Arctic Circle Residency and the geography of the trip is very beautiful. However, there were so many things wrong that I wanted to let others know. First of all, the Arctic Circle residency does not provide any funding at all; it is completely self-funded – they charge $6,500, but additional costs run another $3,000; gear, travel, hotels, etc. This is probably the same cost if you got some friends and organized a similar trip yourself, something that the shipping company offers. The worst part is that the director…

ArtStruck Gallery, CYNTHIA HOUPPERT, “Art Agent”

A User sent this in –  – CYNTHIA HOUPPERT, “Art Agent” and former owner of ArtStruck Gallery in Blue Ridge, Georgia. This is still so incredibly painful to discuss —I’m going to provide the facts, but it’s is a lengthy story ; worth your while to read it! I was a novice when I signed with this “art agent” and her gallery. I had NO clue what real agents do for artists; in retrospect I think she got that about me right away & capitalized on it. Long story short, after I’d paid/insured $10K worth of my portfolio to be…

A reader sent in the following; Art & Sol Studios 310 NW 25TH St Miami, FL 33127 786-310-3689 http://www.artandsolstudios.com info@artandsolstudios.com Put out an international call for art last year with a deadline of October 14, 2016. It’s title: “Art Basel 2016” a three day event, December 1-31, 2016 in their Wynwood Miami studio to “exhibit during the hottest week in Miami” Art Basel Miami 2016. With a full color catalog to be published of entries submitted to this competition, awards and gift cards. I paid the 42.80 submission fee, 4 stone sculptures were accepted and 2 sculptures as backup incase…

J. Latimore / Gallery Sensei

Do NOT work with Joseph Latimore of Gallery Sensei, now based on 135 Eldridge Street. He owes me 3K, he owes a friend 9K, he owes people in London 30K and the list goes on and on. He has made a business of hustling artists, curators and anyone trusting enough to give him opportunities and/or work for him. On top of that, his gallery is a pay to play.

Galerie Bernard Jordan, Paris

A user sent this in – Galerie Bernard Jordan, Paris, did not return one of my unsold artworks after an exhibition. After emailing Jordan many times he finally admitted he could not find it back in any of his storages. He did not offer to pay for it. I was so kind to make him an invoice for less than the amount we had agreed on in case of selling it. But after several reminders he paid only a fraction of that amount. Think twice before you work with this gallery. They maintain a high standard in respect to the…

Museum of Cultural Arts

An artist sent this in – A particular company to watch out for and AVOID is one called Museum of Cultural Arts, in London, UK (situated at Canary Wharf) and run by a woman called Lorraine Gabriel. Do not have anything to do with her, she is very dangerous. What started out as a linked in contact, with offers to represent me, and host an art exhibition for me in London, became a huge horrible heartbreak. End of 2015, we met in London and she charged me 280 pounds to represent me. A couple of months later, she asked me…
