  • ADC – Art Comes Alive Competition
I am an artist and worked with ADC Fine Art in Cincinnati Ohio from 2021-2023. They are terrible. Litsa Spanos is the worst. If you are thinking about working with them, don't....
  • The Other Art Fair, London UK
I went to their fair in Los Angeles. It looked very professional and all the artists I spoke with were very satisfied with the experience of showing at the fair. Most of them had travelled from abroad....
  • Dab Art now Cheating Artists in LA
What kind of professional responds to criticism in such a rude manner? You have left several comments in a row regarding this gallery, in one of them you claim you have "curated many shows professionally", so I assume you are a professional. How did you find this site? You demand evidence from others. Where is yours? Tell us your name and email address or your social media account so we can check you and ask...
  • Galeria Azur Madrid
I tried to ask other artists' experiences with The Holy Art Gallery London/Athens on this site, but for some reason only the comments are published. I couldn't find the gallery owner's name or their sales anywhere, and I didn't even get this information when I asked. So I came to the conclusion that The Holy Art Gallery is also a Vanity Galleria and a pretty bad one. Worse than Galeria Azur, if it's even possible....
  • Divulgarti group
Hahaha. Me too. It's mid May as I write this; the exhibition is in June. Thank you for these posts....
  • Divulgarti group
Also I have to add that these Vanity Galleries won't share their sales figures even when the artist asks for them, because those figures are so terrible. It would be easy to them to publish all sold artworks on gallery's website or social media with the artist's name, so the accuracy could be checked from the artist themselves. Sold pieces are accomplishments for the galleries! Another Vanity Gallery called Galeria Azur is selling art online (for...
  • Divulgarti group
Artists don't build their resumes by saving their artwork for themselves. Whoever told you so either lied or you misunderstood something. Nor do artists build a credible resume by purchasing exhibition space from these Vanity Galleries. What have you gained from participating in these paid exhibitions? A boat trip? You will only receive more suggestions from similar Vanity Galleries and grifters, not from prestigious galleries, museums and collaborationers. Do you use the services of professionals who...
  • Galería Gaudí
I’m so glad I looked them up. I got a instagram message from them and I’m always suspicious so I knew I had to Google it. Thanks everyone for the honest reviews saving me both time and money! Seems like they are truly evil. They apparently don’t know how hard artists work and how much love and passion we put in to our paintings. My heart goes out to all of u who been affected...
  • Divulgarti group
So glad that you wrote this blog. They’ve just reached out to me too. Exhibition supposedly next month😆...
  • Dab Art now Cheating Artists in LA
HAHAHA. Our hearts go out .... about as useful as thoughts and prayers after a masacre. Listen....I have worked with this gallery for years and this characterization is false. Provide some evidence. You just come across very butt hurt. I have been to the LA gallery and to the Ventura gallery several times. I don't understand how any of these comments are helpful to the community and I challenge you to support the claims with...
  • Dab Art Company has posted one of my photographs for sale for $600 without my knowledge or permission.
Not really possible for a gallery to do that with Artsy because a screen shot wouldn't have the required resolution. More likely you submitted an application and forgot. I try to keep a spreadsheet of all the places I inquire and submit to for avoiding confusion....
  • Dab Art, got accepted but now afraid!
I have worked with the gallery many times over 8 years and never had any of these experiences I see here. I have curated many shows professionally and have had many experiences where artists who feel rejected or have unreasonable expectations go online and make broad statements with little factual evidence. I remain cautious of all my activities as a professional artist, but as a curator I often come to this site to see if...
  • Galeria Azur Madrid
Galeria Azur currently has so many artists on Artsy.net that I lost the count at 600. Some of them only pay the online participation fee, which is a few hundred. However, the gallery makes a lot of money! But I couldn't find any sold work on Artsy, although I only scrolled through about 30 pages. Sold artwork in Artsy remains visible. They tell a lot about gallery's sales figures. That's apparently why The Holy Art Gallery...
  • Divulgarti group
I’ve shown in Rome, Spain, and next month in Florence. They haven’t pressured me at all. A few artists sold their work in Spain. They treated us to a boat ride to the island of Tabarca and the inauguration at the Santa Pola Museum was outstanding with over 100 people who attended. I choose not to sell my art on these events so the pieces can build a resume. Majority of becoming an artists is...

  • UAE Art Collector / Global Art Awards / Global Art Agency
Attention! Tokyo International Art Fair is not going to happen!!!Global Art Agency is a huge scam!! We called to venue, and it's not even booked!!! Website is down and on Instagram, she deletes the dates of the event. She wouldn't sue nobody! She is afraid of artists, she closes all she instagrams and all time change her location in Linkedin from Dubai to USA. In fact, I discovered she hides in Marbella, Spain. Joelle...

Dear All, This poster is clearly an imposter. For starters, our program director is a woman, and has been in the position for a decade. Don’t be fooled by the trolls of this world. Instead, we invite you to get to know The Arctic Circle, our 15 years of history, the work we have enabled, and our (now) 600 international alumni. And feel free to contact us. A. O'Connor Director The Arctic Circle...
  • PAKS Gallery and MAMAG Museum invite to exhibit at Cannes Film Festival, Art Basel Week and Carrousel du Louvre
Yep... It looks like a, "pay to play' gallery or exhibition. For the lst 15 years I've been making a living selling my paintings at over 400 show and fairs. I participated in the Florence Biennale in 2007. No one sold ANYTHING ! IT WAS MORE OF AN ARTIST CONVENTION. The promoters made $. The artists were like tools. I have it on my resume , International Art Show , and it was a nice and...
  • Van Gogh Art Gallery in Madrid
Van Gogh Art Gallery is a vanity gallery. Similar to Galeria Azur, Divulgarti Group and M.A.D.S. They make money from entry fees, not from selling art. They approach usually through social media young, beginner and self-taught artists, who don't know how the art world works and how a gallery like that could affect negatively their resume. Any artist can participate as long as they pay. It will give you a pay to play resume. It...

    Prove it....
  • UAE Art Collector / Global Art Awards / Global Art Agency
Joelle Dinnage, Global Art Agency is a SCAM!!!!!! They took a lot of artist money since 2019 and ghosted everybody till now. No art fairs organised up to today too but in the email she kept lying by saying they are preparing the best art fair for all the artists. Artists who paid them as far as 2019 lost all their money till now! I personally lost my money too as tokyo international art fair...
  • Galería Azur Madrid: vanity gallery
Hello everyone. I was just approached by Gallery Van Gogh in Madrid… Same scam as Gallerie Sonia Monti in Paris which I FELL FOR two years ago! So ashamed to admit! So appreciate everyone’s posts. Thank you!!...
  • Residency Arquetopia
My experience was not good. In fact I left after 3 days with another resident who had an even worse experience than me, but I will let her describe it herself. The building is very run down. When I arrived there were 3 other people there. 2 were a couple who had been many times before, (WHY????) My room was filled with signs of what I could not do in my room, like eat. The...
  • Dab Art
They took money (quite a lot actually) from me for a pre-order book last December which I STILL have not received. (It was supposed to be shipped to me on Feb. 15, 2023). They have returned any of my messages... Very dubious......
  • Galeria Azur Madrid
I received an email from these people and chose to ignore as i generally see them as predatory and scamming. 1 week later i receive yet another asking if i had received their first and that they are so excited to have my work with them. LOL yeh right. - I simply respond with "Thanks for taking an interest in my work, as I receive a lot of requests for exhibits there is limited availability...

  • Galeria Azur Madrid
I've had many emails from these people, and it's said that nowadays you have to research the galleries in order to see if they are legit. The best way of finding gallery representation either local or Overseas, is by physically attending the galleries and showing your work to them. Of course contact them yourself and ask if they would be interested in exhibition your work. Many years ago, i started exactly this way, I was...

the other art fair is legit. run by Saatchi art....
Agora

There is some debate in the art world as to the validity of Agora Gallery in New York’s Chelsea neighborhood. Some artists find this to be a respectable, even profitable way to exhibit their art, while many others have had experiences that border on scam. Agora has a pretty high profile reputation for this. Artists confront steep upfront costs to exhibit as well as commission fees. There are those who assert that Agora Gallery is held in low esteem by fellow Chelsea venues. The bottom line: you must decide whether spending thousands of dollars to put your art in a…
