  • Excellance art Gallery in Mirabella, Spain
Thank you for confirming our suspicions. It's quite telling that you require appointments for a gallery that appears to have no dedicated exhibition space. The "Headquarters of Excellence Art Gallery" seems to be little more than a handful of paintings displayed inside Hotel La Fonda Heritage in Marbella, which funny enough, is at the very same address. Fellow artists are paying for next to nothing, and what is presented as an established gallery presence, but...
  • Excellance art Gallery in Mirabella, Spain
I had a similar experience with Excellence Art gallery and Giuseppe Carnevale, unprofessional and unsophisticated, coming across as very dodgy. Clearly not entirely trustworthy and they would sell their own mother even—the kind of people that would do anything for a few coins....
  • Lichtundfire in NYC
Why would you care about artists' participation and tell them to reconsider unless you were the gallerist in question? If your experience was good, how did you end up here? Did you google the gallery name after you participated? Yes, entrance and participation fees are very common in Vanity Galleries....
  • Excellance art Gallery in Mirabella, Spain
The art "promoter" called Mr. Giuseppe Carnavales from "the gallery" Excellence Art Gallery, suposed in Marbella , Spain, contacted me by Instagram some time ago. Afther some conversations with this suposed "profesional" "art curator" I felt myselve very unconfortable and embarrassed by his telephone harassment tactics trying me to accept any of his expensive packs to be represented by him. So, luckly, before take a desicion I just had a look in...
  • Excellance art Gallery in Mirabella, Spain
Please stay away all of them, Excellence Art Gallery, Giuseppe Carnevale, and Art by Excellence. Self-promotion, opportunism, and personal gain seem to take precedence over honesty, gratitude, and respect for others......
  • Lichtundfire in NYC
I have been in three Lichtundfire open calls over the last few months. Her themes are thoughtful and well-written. She charges a fee for consideration. That is not at all unusual. Never was I asked for any money beside my entrance fee, and my experiences have been very positive. Maybe reconsider? People learn....
  • Excellance art Gallery in Mirabella, Spain
I was contacted by Giuseppe Carnevale and Excellence Art Gallery via Instagram. The offer struck me as a classic low effort vanity-gallery approach: artists pay, while the promised benefits remain vague and difficult to verify. I won't be participating. Anyone considering it should ask hard questions about sales history, collector engagement, and what exactly they're receiving in return for their money....

  • Excellance art Gallery in Mirabella, Spain
From all the comments, it's clear that Excellence Art Gallery is Vanity Gallery, and also that Giuseppe Carnevale, tries to use every method possible to keep his scam afloat...
  • Italian gallerist, Marco Antonio Patricio, major scam
My mom also got scammed. Unfortunately for him, I had a week in between jobs and managed to figure out his real location and probably his real identify as well. I made a dedicate page about it: https://iwasscammedbylorenzobucceri.vdvphotographics.com/...
  • Residency Arquetopia
Hi, Jut wondering if anyone has recent (2025-2026) experiences with Arquetopia's residency in Peru to share? These reviews have been very helpful!...
  • Europartfair 2021
I agree. Stay away from all products of this organisation. Not really a scam, but definitely feeding off insecure artists paying to play. The artfairs are bad quality, only visited by friends and family of the artists on free admission tickets. The books are sold to the artists themselves. They name a lot of famous artists on their site as "supporting their ideas", as well as politicians as ambassadors who do not know about this.They...

Excellence Art Gallery. Clearly a vanity Gallery, you won¡t get anything else than money wasted.. Beware!...
  • Excellance art Gallery in Mirabella, Spain
This is a subjective, likely biased endorsement that shouldn’t carry much weight without independent verification....
  • Excellance art Gallery in Mirabella, Spain
Thank you for clarifying that your gallery is indeed a pay to play company and not a real and respected gallery. The artists are your customers, not the people who buy the art. So you don't make money by selling art, but by renting out the walls. You are a vanity gallery, as you clarified....
  • Excellance art Gallery in Mirabella, Spain
Oh please, if you have to clarify that you are neither a chatbot nor a friend, you are either or both. Provide your name and social media account so we can verify that you are indeed an artist and are telling the truth. How much art have you sold through this gallery?...

  • Excellance art Gallery in Mirabella, Spain
And here we go again, suddenly the page appears with comments praising the gallery. Vanity gallerists think artists are so stupid that we believe these praising comments, which are btw written by the gallerists themselves. How and why would any artist who has positive experiences with these galleries even come to this page? This page is visited by artists who are looking for information about collaborators, as well as artists who have had bad experiences,...

  • If you’re approached by “Gallerist” Marco Antonio Patrizio – Run!
He just contacted me a couple of weeks ago. Now the gallery is called AM Fine Art located in the Duomo square. He says his name is Marcio. Thank you so much everyone for posting this warning!...
  • Excellance art Gallery in Mirabella, Spain
In my case, my experience as an artist with Excellence Art Gallery has been positive. I understand that there may be different opinions, but personally, it has brought me a lot. I’ve had the opportunity to participate in international exhibitions in cities such as Paris, Monaco, Brussels, and Barcelona, which has helped me gain experience and showcase my work beyond my local environment. Also, just to clarify, the gallery is indeed open in Marbella (Plaza Santo...
  • Excellance art Gallery in Mirabella, Spain
My experience and opinion: Just started with him with a pack exhibition and representation for one year; it finally had been five years collaborating. In 2021 was my first solo exhibition in Art Marbella Art Café as the physical gallery with a successfull result. Now a days, even the gallery format had changed there are always different places as headquarters that the artworks got visibility. I would not have a long relationship colaboration with Giuseppe Carnevale as...

Contemporary Art Projects USA

Reader Submitted; Contemporary Art Projects USA Website: http://contemporaryartprojectsusa.com/ Below is the fee break-down that this agent will charge you. Remember, on top of it, the artists are responsible for shipping the work to and from the amenity. AND they will charge a 30% commission on sold work. They probably make money on artist fees alone. There is no incentive for them to sell your work. When you receive a message from this agent wanting to promote you work, do not bother your time message back. FEES: $1,900 One Piece: space, hanging and curating process  Size: Maximum 40” x 40”…

Gallery DeBoer

Reader submitted – any feedback or experience from others? Gallery DeBoer located in Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada. Total scammer the owner Ron De Boer is. Artists beware. He takes his 50% commission fails to call artists when their work sells, charges over the top delivery fees for a 10 minute delivery, intentionally hides work in the galleries storage area ( in hopes it will be lost or the artist will forget the work is there) and frequently adds random fees to artists without consent or permission. I was charged an additional $100 for them to copy and paste my bio…

La Sala/Royal Cantina

Reader submitted – any feedback /experience here? La Sala/Royal Cantina at 58 North 3rd Street, Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY 11249, USA http://www.cantinaroyal.com They take advantage of artists and performers by having them put down a deposit to use the space and charge show goers food and drinks money. If they make enough with the guests, then the artists are not charged for using the space. They do not have a tip jar for the artists and keep all the money for themselves. Diana Beshara (http://www.dianabeshara.com) and her boyfriend run the place. I went there to see a friend perform, they did…

Artrom Gallery

a reader writes this, any feedback/experience here? I had problems with the Artrom Gallery in Rome, Italy. It took me 3 years to get my work back after an invitational exhibit. I was not the only one either, I found another artist that was waiting for her work ever. longer. I found this artist when the gallery owner sent me some pictures after I wrote her many times, where she exhibited my work without my permission with this other artist, well, more like decorated her apartment. Together we got her to finally return our work.

Art Fusion

A reader writes the following, any feedback / experience here? Miami has a crazy load of galleries in the area called “Wynwood”. LOTS of artists want to be here and it has become so saturated with graffiti you can barely find the front door to a gallery. This saturation has created the next wave which is moving northward, same avenue but northbound. In this Wynwood area is a two story gallery “Art Fusion” jammed with paintings and photography. To make a long story short, just so you know, they charge wall space. 5′ x 10′ = $1800/month. I asked an…

Caelum Gallery

A reader wrote this – any experience here or feedback? “Caelum Gallery in Chelsea, New York City, is a vanity gallery. Several years ago, I walked in with another artist and the gallery director came over and engaged us in conversation. He took my card and said he’d look at my web site. Then I got a letter from him offering me a section of the gallery for a show — for a $3,000 fee. No, thanks.”

LemoArt Gallery in Berlin Offered to show 6 of my pieces at a 25% commision, (plus an upfront non refundable payment of 440€) for a six month showing (one piece per month).
