Pashmin Art Gallery – HamburgStay away from this gallery. They`´re a bunch of fraudsters, run by Nour Nouri. They promise you scccess, rip you off and then you never get it. Photographers should think twice about entering LensCultureI submitted to them a few years ago and included two detail shots which are important to see in my work. I clearly labeled both as "Details". Whoever the juror(s) was they never read that or didn't even realize those were details, not the entire piece, and gave me a bad review on those two details. Superfine Art FairI exhibited in Miami a few years ago. Although the guys promote the fair extensively on social media, their business plan is to make money on the exhibitors. Unfortunately they do not have a good ground plan to drive traffic. They also charge admission which is a turn off for many casual attendees. Superfine Art FairI did two Superfine fairs, one in DC in 2023 and one in Savannah in 2024. Attendance in DC wasn't bad, In Savannah it was abysmal. My artwork was accepted and the exhibit was wonderful and made with lots of care. You could really see that the Gallery put their heart into this exhibit. Van der Plas GalleryDo not apply to this gallery. They make a big deal about their New York "exposure" opportunity and I got suckered to pay $150 to display a small drypoint print. After failing to sell, they added insult by losing the return paperwork for the return shipment. They didn't even apologize. A reader posted “I’ve been contacted by the European Cultural Center/ Global Art Foundation to exhibit during Venice Biennale. They asked for a big “sponsorship” for wall space. The place they exhibit at seemed great (I’m Italian and know Venice quite well) and the list of their sponsors too. I was in doubt wether to search for sponsorship to afford exhibiting with them but I thought I might as well ask first. I’m very new to the art world, maybe other artists have had experience with them. Thank you so much” Any other feedback?

A reader posted “I would consider adding an entry for It’s Liquid Group run by Luca Curci. Mr Curci would typically put out open calls to artists exhibit works as part of a festival with no mention of a entry/ submission or participation fee. Artists would send work to be considered for inclusion and they would often receive a response from Mr Curci, asking for a fee ranging from €50 to €200 (sometimes even more) for each work that has been submitted. a reader sent in this post, any other feedback? 97 Allen Street, New York, NY 10002 Had a piece in a show back in 2013 and the Gallery purchased it but never sent me a payment. Had many emails back and forth and had to go into the gallery multiple times asking for a status of my check but everyone claimed not to know anything about it or why the payment is missing. The gallery has had a reputation in the past for stiffing upcoming artists.
