Venice International Art Fair?
Hi, I just got an invite to submit to this 15 Edition art fair. Anyone have experience with it?

As best I can tell, this is not really a “Fair” at all. I think it is just IT’s Liquid recruiting artists to pay to have their work hung in a group show. I was contacted, applied, was accepted, and then went through a run around process about cost and logistics that has been completely unprofessional. I would only do this if you need another line on your CV or want an excuse (expense) to go to Venice.

I don’t think this is even a “Fair” at all. I have gotten an invite so I applied, got accepted, and have continued to go back and forth with the “Project Coordinator” about cost and logistics.
Best I can tell, this is an exhibition by It’s Liquid in Venice. So it is a gallery renting out wall space to artists. And even still, I had to go back and forth way too many times to get the cost and shipping info (which I won’t get until I pay). I would only do this if you need another event on your CV and an excuse (expense) to go to Venice.

I was almost caught by this. I don’t think this is a real fair and I’m not sending money or art. It’s pretty tricky but there are half dozen signs that indicate it not real.
