Inigo Philbrick in the mid 2000s

I met Inigo Philbrick in the mid 2000s, at a Salon, which his ex landlord and ex boss had organized together. I remember when Inigo spoke, he described so vividly this image of three nuns by the sea (I think it was a painting he had seen), I can still recall the images he created with his description. Van Der Plas gallery – Adriaan Van Der Plas

Van Der Plas gallery will ask you to submit then charge you a hanging fee of $120-$300+ per work depending on the size. This is in addition to the 50% commission. They did state that part of the fees are credited back to you if it sells but they dont appear to have much work selling. Besides if I pay you upfront there’s no incentive to sell after that. They do mention the fees upfront at least so there’s no time wasted applying if you don’t want to pay.

Hello, I would like to tell you about my experiences with EAP. First of all, don’t do business with this company! I can only agree with the previous speakers. The contact and behavior is impeccable – until you pay the fee. Lauren contacted me at the beginning. Like you, I initially thought how good the offer of this gallery is. Emergingartist Platform by Hansford and Sons

Be careful about this company! They “hire” you very friendly, but you´ll get massive problems not only with regard to their communication. Here´s a long list of complaining artist about several problems. It takes weeks till your page is set up, mails aren´t answered and if so, very unfriendly blaming you to be the problem. You think you get featured on their “Featured” page, ending up dissapointed and with may excuses. People don´t get their money back. Italian gallerist, Marco Antonio Patricio, major scam

Fellow artists! I want to raise a huge red flag for Italian gallerist, Marco Antonio Patricio. I signed up with him to show my work at various art fairs in Italy. I sent him 5 paintings to exhibit. I asked him repeatadly for feedback and images from the fairs, but received none. Parallax Art fair / PAF

Parallax art fair or PAF are VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and a real scam preying on young artists – google this fair and you will find so many complaining that there was no marketing, that they turned up to find no lighting and bad booths, that the team was completely unprofessional.
